Armed Robbers Hold Up UPS Store

Men confront employees with revolver, run away with cash.

Elk Grove police are searching for two men who robbed UPS employees at gunpoint Friday evening at the package delivery service's Laguna Blvd store.

Police say the men entered the store at around 6:00 p.m., one of them wielding a chrome or stainless steel revolver. After corraling a driver behind the employee counter, they demanded another employee open the cash register, took the cash and fled.

Police describe the suspects, who can be seen on surveillance footage, as African-American men in their twenties. One stands about 6'2" with a medium build and was wearing a black baseball cap with a green bill, black hoodie and and black shoes with a white strip on the bottom, police said. The other stands 5'10" and was also wearing a black hoodie, with jeans and white shoes, they said.

The suspected robbers were last seen running towards Tegan Road, police said.
