San Francisco City Tour Day was Beautiful!

Walking the Golden Gate Bridge, riding the Cable Car and meeting Willie Brown!

Our visitors from Spain absolutely loved San Francisco. The cable car broke down after we were only on it for 2 blocks, but SF rolled out the best weather I have seen there. We picked 2 of the best days of the year to visit SF for the weather.

This trip was 1 hour waiting for the cable car - 5 mins on it before it broke down  :-) Oh well, I think it is 130 years old so we can cut it some slack.

Then beautiful walks through Chinatown for some, Lombard St. for most, a return to the Pier/Wharf area and Ghiardelli Square for some and lots of shopping for all.

My friend Lessie and I had lunch at Tadich Grill on California and had the opportunity to meet Wille Brown right as we walked in! That was nice - but sorry we did not get pictures.  Tadich Grill is more the kind of spot where the famous expect to be comfortable so I didn't want to act too "touristy".

Then, the piece de resistance... hope I spelled that right....we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge! Best weather ever for that and the views were breathtaking. We took pictures and videos and couldn't take ourselves away. So of course we got home really late and, at least I was exhausted the next day.

Another thing that was nice was that my sister Lynette got to come down and meet everyone at the cable car turnaround. She works in financial district and it was her only chance to meet them.

Another awesome day in the city by the bay.....

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
