California Family Fitness’ Body Fit Challenge Offers People a Chance to Shed Pounds

California Family Fitness (CFF) today announced that its’ next Body Fit Challenge (BFC) will begin Saturday, August 13, and interested individuals are encouraged to sign-up. The BFC is an eight-week long group training program, in which the participants are coached by a trainer through twice weekly group workout sessions, and educated on exercise habits, nutrition and lifestyle changes.

“The Body Fit Challenge has been a great success for our members since it first started three years ago,” said Randy Karr, president of California Family Fitness. “Throughout the duration of the BFC, participants have shed more than 33,000 pounds.  We are very proud of the BFC, and are thrilled to be a part of such a life-changing program for so many people.”

At the end of the eight week program, prizes are awarded to the participants who lose the highest percentage of body weight at each CFF club, as well as the top male and female participants company-wide.

Two-time BFC winner David DeMoss says of the BFC, “The BFC is so worth the time and money if you want to lose a lot of weight or just tone up your body. Your trainer will set you in the right direction, and the positive input from your teammates will make for a great experience."

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
