An Elk Grove festival celebrates its silver anniversary and the life of a 19th-century author this weekend: The 25th-annual Dickens Street Faire is being held in Old Town Elk Grove Saturday.
"Considered by many to be the kick off to the holiday season, this event draws an audience of approximately 5000 to the Old Town Elk Grove area for a day of shopping, children's activities, breakfast with Santa and more," organizers said on the event's website.
