Charity Bowling Event Draws Crowd

The tournament at Strikes raised $15,000 for Elk Grove Food Bank Services and Elk Grove Together.

Over 40 teams of bowlers—from beginners with heart to seasoned competitors with fancy carrying cases—turned out Friday evening for a Bowling Extravaganza Charity Event at .

Hosted by Mayor Steven Detrick, Vice Mayor James Cooper and Councilmember Gary Davis, the tournament raised over $15,000 for local non-profits Elk Grove Food Bank Services and Elk Grove Together, according to event organizers.

Winning teams included Impact Community Church, Pappas Investments, Brookhurst Development, Pacific Municipal Consultants, and the Cosumnes Community Services District Team 2.
