Elk Grove schools are one step closer to winning the $100,000 grand prize.

You're in the running to get to the next stage which is the 24 finalists who will get their electric bill for December (up to $500) paid by Patch.

And those 24 finalists will compete for the chance to win $100,000 for local schools.

Readers can increase the chance that Elk Grove will win by voting for Powell's entry if it makes it to the top 24.
