The Cosumnes Community Services District and City of Elk Grove are partnering in the planning and building of a neighborhood park in the Laguna Ridge area of Elk Grove.
The CSD and City will host two community outreach meetings this fall to generate ideas and review design proposals for Horseshoe Park, a 9-acre park located on Denali Circle. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and the second meeting will be held onTuesday, Nov. 19. Both meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Cosumnes Community Services District Board Room, located at 8820 Elk Grove Boulevard.
During the Oct. 15 meeting, the community will have an opportunity to discuss different design options for the park. At the Nov. 19 meeting, staff will present a master plan of the park. Anyone who is interested in providing input on the park is encouraged to attend these meetings.
“These meetings are a great opportunity for residents to have a part in planning a park in their own neighborhood,” said CSD Board President, Rod Brewer. “The CSD is looking forward to working together with the City as well as the community as we continue to design and build parks in Laguna Ridge.”
“In partnership with the CSD, we encourage residents to participate in creating a design for Horseshoe Park,” said Mayor Gary Davis. “This is an opportunity for residents to be involved in shaping their community.”
The City and the CSD value input from the community. Those unable to attend the meeting can comment on the two designs by visiting www.yourcsd.com/parks/lagunaridge after the Nov. 19 meeting.
