1)  “Oh my god, I love your site. I read it every day.”

That’s understandable. It’s been less than eight months since . Yet already, we’ve got a strong community of readers who are making the site their own—from commenting on stories to to sharing news tips with our reporters.

Just this week, after some Elk Grove residents witnessed the disturbing sight of from a highway overpass, it was heartwarming to see community members log on en masse to offer reassuring words and links to counseling resources.

The more people that participate here, the more vibrant and informative our online news community will be.

But Elk Grove is a pretty big town, and it can take a while for word to spread from one end of Laguna Blvd to the other. That’s where you come in.
