Wondering what to do with your Friday and Saturday leisure time? Pleasant Grove Elementary School puts on its Sock Hop this evening, and Saturday offers a free barbecue for all and a night of live music at a local winery. Enjoy!
School dance. What could be cuter than little kids dancing with each other and their parents? presents its 4th Annual Sock Hop Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., complete with hula-hoop and bubble-gum blowing contests. Just $4 per person gets you a hot dog, chips and root beer float—be there or be square!
Pleasure in the park. Nothing says family fun like a picnic at one of our local parks on a grand scale. Join Councilmember Gary Davis and family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday at for the 5th Annual Community Barbecue. You'll feast on franks and hamburgers over live entertainment. Here's to outdoor activities!
Outdoor concert. Don't miss the final blues performance of the year at Saturday night. Listen to the Lara Price Blues Band from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. over a glass of pinot noir or chardonnay. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and admission is $12.50 for adults/free for kids under 12. Come early for the best lawn seating and bring a blanket or low-back lawn chair.
