Here's what's happening in and around Elk Grove this weekend.

Elk Grove Patch would like to send happy 15th birthday wishes to our neighbors at Elk Grove Online, who are celebrating the occasion with a picnic and movie-watching extravaganza Friday night at Elk Grove Regional Park. Your ticket price goes toward .

Plus, shake your thang to the sounds of an old-school R&B band, give your eWaste to the cops, and view some vintage automobiles—it's all happening here in town this weekend.

1. Nathan Blake Master Class

Where/When: Fusion Fitness & Dance, Friday 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Why Go: Zumba fans, come on out tonight and meet special guest Nathan Blake, who'll lead you through a series of energetic, high-stepping dance moves—so much more inspiring than watching yet another DVD!

2. Elk Grove Online 15th Anniversary Picnic

Where/When: Elk Grove Regional Park, Friday 7 p.m.

Why Go:  Show your community spirit by attending this fun-filled event sponsored by several local organizations, complete with live music, a barbecue, Kids Zone activities, scavenger hunt, Yogi Bear movie and much more.  Proceeds benefit the Elk Grove Pirates Island Park Project.

Pricing: $3 to $20

Where/When: Coach's Classic Bar & Grill at Strikes, Friday and Saturday 9 p.m.

Why Go:  Shake your booty to the groovy music of this super-talented band.  Can't make it Friday night?  You're in luck; due to their popularity, there's a Saturday night performance as well.

Pricing: $10 cover charge; drink and food prices vary.

4. Elk Grove Police Activities League e-Waste Collection Fundraiser

Where/When: 10044 Bruceville Road, Suite 100 (Parking Lot), Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Get rid of your nonworking cell phones, televisions and monitors, and take comfort in knowing that not only will they not end up in a landfill, but the recycling monies are going toward a great cause, too—keep it green, people!

Pricing: Free to drop off items.

5. 4th Annual Sacramento American Classics Car Show

Where/When: Project R.I.D.E., Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Round up the family for this Project R.I.D.E. fundraiser, and experience a day filled with food and drink, music, carnival games and even a hula-hoop contest, hosted by Sacramento American Classics car club.

Pricing: Free to attend; $15 registration fee for cars/motorcycles/trucks.
