For the 18th time, Elk Grove Regional Park this weekend will play host to pumpkins weighing almost as much as a Volkswagon Beetle.
The Cosumnes Community Services District's Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival kicked off Saturday with entertainment, a scarecrow contest, student performers and the main event, a giant pumpkin weigh-off.
