Elk Grove's Daryl Black Eliminated from 'X Factor' (Video)

Elk Grove resident Daryl Black didn't make the cut on but he's staying positive.

"Don't feel bad for me," Black said in a video posted on YouTube shortly after the show aired. "I am so grateful for the opportunity that I've had to be on this show. ... The reality is some of you wouldn't even know who I am if it wasn't for X Factor."

On Wednesday night's episode of the singing reality show, judge L.A. Reid told Black that while he admired his talent, he "struggle[d] because I want the fire, I want the stardom."

"This is where it stops," Reid said. "Sorry."

Black's rendition of "Stereo Hearts" by Gym Class Heroes, which first earned him a spot on the show, is currently available on iTunes.
