Pastels Workshop

PASTELS Workshop, with Russell Frank, Thursdays, May 24th & May 31st, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Fee $40.00 + $15 for materials (Students provide 14”x20” min. drawing board).  Students will learn aspects of pastel painting including how to begin from attaching a backer board to the paper, applying an underpainting, landscape subject matter photo, how to grid a photo and paper to transfer an image, paint on Wallis Sanded paper and much more. 

About the Instructor: Russell attended Bakersfield High School, Bakersfield College and Cal State Northridge where he majored in Art, Ceramics and Woodworking. Russell began his unique style of pastel drawings in 1968. Russell is a member of Sacramento Potters Group and Elk Grove Artists and Secretary of the Pastel Society of the West Coast.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
