Free Tickets Available for Blues Concert Saturday

The July 13 performance at Cosumnes Oaks High School will feature Gary Mendoza and student musicians.

A local blues band will join Elk Grove students in a free concert this Saturday at Cosumnes Oaks High School.

The concert is hosted by the city and the Elk Grove Committee for the Arts.

Free Tickets Available for ‘Musical History of the Blues’ Concert this Saturday 

Back by popular demand, well-known local blues musician Gary Mendoza will headline a free foot‐stomping community blues concert in Elk Grove this Saturday, July 13.

The Musical History of the Blues performance, hosted by the Elk Grove Committee for the Arts, will feature the Gary Mendoza Band and Elk Grove student musicians. 

The two-hour concert follows the history of blues in America, including back porch, Delta, and Chicago styles that have rocked juke joints and cabarets of the past. Free tickets are available at www.elkgrovecity.org/concerts.  (7/13, Cosumnes Oaks High School Performing Arts Center, 7 p.m.)
