A local winery is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month and inviting residents to a series of Friday happy hour concerts.
McConnell Estates Winery, 10686 West Stockton Blvd., will hold events from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Friday in August. This Friday, Vinyl Destination will perform. Each happy hour features live music except Aug. 23, which is trivia night. Glasses of wine are $5 during the happy hour events.
The winery will celebrate its 10th anniversary at 5 p.m. on Aug. 10, with wine and food pairings, food samples from outside vendors, live music and more. A full press release follows:

McConnell Estates Winery is celebrating our 10 year Anniversary. We have come a long way with the help of our Wine Club Members and local patrons. We are celebrating this success by honoring our wine club members and the community for supporting us throughout the years.
The celebration will be at McConnell Estates Winery on August 10th at 5pm. There will be a VIP tent for our Wine Club Members featuring, relaxing music by Kyle Tuttle as well as wine & food pairings hosted by Nugget Markets and complimentary gifts. Our longest standing wine club member will also receive commemorative signed bottles.
To add to the excitement the ‘Why Not Band’ of Elk Grove will be playing so prepare for an amazing concert. Also some of our favorite outside vendors such as, Calivirgin Olive Oil, Costa’s Finest Kettle Corn and Uncle Chucks Hawaiian Fusion BBQ will be on site passing out samples to help celebrate our 10th Anniversary.
