The Elk Grove Strauss Festival Runs Thursday - Sunday

The 26th-annual Strauss Festival of Elk Grove runs from July 25 to July 28.

The Strauss Festival is coming to Elk Grove for the 26th time.

The dance performance honors 19th-century composer Johann Strauss and is held at Elk Grove Regional Park's Strauss Island.

This year's theme is "The Legend of All Hallows Eve," according to a post in a Strauss Facebook group:

The title of this year's show is "The Legend of All Hallows Eve," which will take attendees on a journey through the land of lore and romance with the elegance of Strauss in music and dance. The festival performances begin on Thursday, July 25th and run for a total of four nights-July 25th, July 26th, July 27th and July 28th.

The prelude for the performance begins nightly at 7:30 p.m. with a chance to see the dancers "up close and personal" as they promenade around Strauss Island in their stunning dance regalia. The show time of 8:15 p.m. begins the musical introductio
n lead by our 26th year veteran conductor Jay DeWald with the Camellia Symphony Orchestra. After the incredible evening of dance and music, the ending display of fireworks gives the final perfect touch to a magical performance.

The performance is free, and parking is $10.
