In celebration of Earth Day (April 22), students at Merryhill School in Elk Grove learned about recycling and taking care of the environment. Preschoolers brought in recycled materials from home and assembled classroom robots, which are now on display. In addition, students planted flowers and vegetables in the school’s garden. This year’s theme for Earth Day was Preschool Power. Throughout the week, teachers will talk with students about how each person has the power and responsibility to take care of the Earth. Merryhill School teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at a young age.
