The Sacramento Art History Consortium Scholarship for the Arts

Scholarship announcement for Sacramento county incoming freshment Art / Art History Majors

SAHC will be accepting applications for our scholarship program between March 4, 2013 and April 22, 2013. Sacramento County high school seniors that plan on majoring in the visual arts or the field of art history at either a 2-year or 4-year college are encouraged to apply! Our objective is to foster a new generation of Sacramento artists by helping them gain the experience in articulating their artistic concepts, by providing a public forum in which the top three candidates can showcase their work (on our website).   Our goal is to help open doors either professionally or academically by encouraging expression of thought, beliefs and concepts based on the candidates own artistic process. It is our expectation that such a program will generate new possibilities for students pursuing a career in the visual arts.  Winning applicant will receive a $250.00 scholarship award.

All applications and question cans be sent to Hanna Karr at hkarr@sacramentoarthistory.org

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
