Best Fine Dining in Elk Grove? Voting Starts Monday.

New 'Readers' Choice' series debuts next week.

Elk Grove Patch will kick off its "Readers' Choice" series Monday by seeking out the best fine dining establishment in town.

In the coming weeks, our readers will have a chance to vote for their favorite businesses and organizations in a number of fun categories. Here's how it will work:

Every Monday we'll post a poll and invite you to vote on your favorite, comment about your choice and post a review on the corresponding Elk Grove Patch directory listing.

We'll post the results the following Friday. Winning businesses will get a "Readers' Choice" certificate along with some online buzz and many new potential customers.

How will the winner be determined?

Our crafty Patch statisticians have devised a formula to determine the winner based on poll results, comments on the article page, and , Patch Places.

How is this different than the annual Best of Elk Grove competition?

We love the Best of Elk Grove and encourage readers to participate in that as well. Readers' Choice is ongoing and focused on our readers' opinions about the businesses and organizations in Elk Grove Patch's online directory.

Ready to go?

To get the ball rolling, we'd love to hear your nominations for next week's Fine Dining Faceoff. Think white tablecloths and attentive service: the kind of place where you'd go to celebrate a special occasion. (There'll be chances for more casual restaurants to compete in upcoming weeks.)

We're thinking and are shoo-ins to compete in this category. Anyone else we're missing?

Let us know, and get ready to vote Monday!

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
