A recent posting on chat room Elk Grove Online caught our eye: A local woman was interested in opening a "nice, clean" tattoo shop in Elk Grove, but wanted to get feedback from Elk Grovians before going through the permitting process.
Why the cold feet? Though everyone and their mama seems to have a tatt these days, some still associate them with gangs and crime. City Council members shot down an effort to open a tattoo and piercing parlor in Old Town in 2009.
