The Freebirds World Burrito chain is turning the opening of their new Elk Grove location into a charity event with a benefiting Elk Grove Food Bank Services.
The first 250 customers to donate $5.00 to the food bank will receive a free entree and drink at the restaurant, which offers several sizes of burrito and offbeat ingredient options like barbecue sauce and cayenne tortillas.
The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at 8235 Laguna Blvd, near the intersection of Big Horn Blvd in the shopping center.
The restaurant officially opens May 15.
