Henry's Farmers Market has been variously named "best health food store," "best place to buy produce" and "favorite natural food store" by media outlets in Southern California, where the grocery chain began. Now Henry's is looking to hire as many as 80 employees for its Elk Grove location at 8211 Laguna Blvd. Plan ahead for their mega-hiring event in June. Several other Elk Grove businesses, small and large, are also beefing up their staffs.

When:  Tuesday, June 22 - Thursday, June 24, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Positions:  Department managers, assistant department managers, meat cutters, clerks (produce, deli, meat, vitamin, bakery, bulk and grocery), cashiers, courtesy clerks, scan coordinator and receivers.

Requirements: Previous grocery experience is preferred but not required. Staff will provide in-store training as necessary to new employees.

Position:   Assistant Registrar

Duties:  Assist the Registrar in managing and coordinating daily operations of the Registrar's office, staff supervision and registration activities, maintaining student records and providing excellent customer service. 

Requirements:  Bachelor's degree. Master's degree and experience in a Registrar's office preferred.  Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in post-secondary education administration, with 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience. Project management experience preferred.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be skilled in database management, analysis, written and verbal communication, customer service and data entry.
