POLL: Where is the Best Fine Dining in Elk Grove?

Support your favorite special-occasion restaurant by voting for them here and reviewing them in our business directory.

Get ready, Elk Grove: It's time for a fine-dining faceoff.

We've put together a list of special-occasion restaurants based on our staff's experience and suggestions from our readers.

Now it's your turn: Tell us which of the restaurants below you like the best and why. You can click on the restaurant's name below to , leave a comment on this article or vote in the poll.

This gourmet throwdown is part of , in which we post a category each week and you pick the winner from among Elk Grove businesses and organizations.

We've defined 'fine dining' broadly here—you won't necessarily find tuxedoed waiters serving multiple courses at these restaurants. But they are all places where you might go to celebrate a graduation or impress a date—where the prices for some dishes may be splurgy but the food says, 'We're worth it.' Chain restaurants were excluded. If you think we've left someone out, write them in!

We'll post the winner on Friday, based on your responses. Don't forget to leave a review in our directory, Patch Places, by clicking on the restaurant's name below; reviews count extra in the tallying.

Now, without further ado, the nominees:

Note: This poll is not scientific, and is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined based on poll results, comments on this page and on ratings and reviews on Patch Places. Hint: The ratings and reviews count extra.

Had to vote for Palermo's just because they have such great calamari...but TBH I have not experienced the other establishments.

All excellent choices, nice picks. We're fortunate to have some very good dining in Elk Grove. I think Silva's is always underrated and I'd guess the majority of the transplants have never tried it. My vote went to Boulevard Bistro because their quality for the price is unbeatable.

Very good list indeed. I'd rather see a ranking system vs a radio button to pick only one. My list in a very tough decision order Palermo Ristorante Italiano - great food at a great value Silva's Sheldon Inn - second best real margarita I've had in recent memory (my versions are always my favorite) The Brick House - Been here 4 or more times and the food is always good. Todo Un Poco - Good food and atmosphere. The menu is a bit exotic for my taste buds, but the meals are always good I have taken family and friends to all of the above. Silva's need better marketing for us transplants. This place should not be missed. Blvd Bistro - have not tried yet

Boulevard Bistro is, by far, the best place in Elk Grove. While Palermo is good, it's not near the quality or ambiance of Boulevard Bistro. The Brick House and Todo Un Poco don't even belong on the same list.

Brunch-Boulevard Bistro. Dinner-Silva's. Nothing Else compares.

I have eaten at both Palermo and Boulevard Bistro. I continue to go back to the Bistro and have not returned to Palermo, so that says a lot. I dont consider Palermo fine dining for two reasons; the service is not above average and the food itself was not extraordinary. The Boulevard Bistro is THE fine dining spot in Elk Grove. The food is out of this world whether it be for brunch or dinner, the owners are a visible and welcoming presence in the restaurant and that in and of itself is pretty special. The wait staff is responsive, knowledgable and friendly. My family and I have spent many important occasions at The Bistro and look forward to spending many more!
