Readers' Choice: Best Gym

Tell us which Elk Grove fitness club you prefer and why.

What makes a good gym? Is it the crowd? The classes? The equipment?

It's time for another and this week, we're polling you on your favorite place to work out in Elk Grove. Click on the name of the gym below to post a review in our business directory, then vote in the poll.

There are lots of other great ways to get fit in the Grove, of course—from jogging on one of the city's many trails to taking a dance class. But this week, we're focusing on the gyms.

Weigh in by 9:00 a.m. Friday, and don't forget to tell us why your fitness club is the best. Know one we missed? Tell us in the comments.

Warriorz is a very welcoming fitness center and the people there are just as motivated to stay fit as I am. The workouts are building muscles in places that I have never had. I wrestle at Elk Grove highschool and coming to Warriorz definitely helps me stay fit for wrestling. -Joey Lopez

WarriorZ has helped me make tremendous strides in overall leg strength, core strength, upper body strength and technique with my lifts. They have helped me in weight gain, flexibility, coordination, conditioning and endurance. Next fall, I will be attending the University of California Berkeley on a football scholarship, and Charlie Zamora has been by my side, making sure my training is progressing at the right pace. Choosing WarriorZ to prepare myself for the next level in football has been a great choice. I have complete trust that Charlie and his staff will have me ready when it is time to leave for Berkeley. I will continue to train at WarriorZ when I am home on breaks from school.

I have been a member at Warriorz since October 2011!! I LOVE this place! WarriorZ is my home away from home. Charlie, Micha, and staff are all so kind, supportive and knowledgeable. My husband and I both train here and our 7 year-old daughter also participates in the kids' Crossfit classes. WarriorZ is very family friendly and all who train there is considered family. I love the workouts, atmosphere and community! I feel STRONGER after every workout! WarriorZ is THE PLACE TO TRAIN!!!!!

I've been members a multiple gyms and found California Family fitness is home to me! The staff is great. They are very friendly. The work out enviroment is great. The members here are very respective compared to other health clubs. The staff is are very personable, especially the trainers and the membership consultants. If you want to work out at a place where you can bring your kids and not worry about them this is the place to be! This place does hold great value and is worth every penny!
