Who's Hiring: Walmart to Hire 265 for New Elk Grove Store

The retailer has opened another temporary hiring center in Elk Grove.

For the second time in six months, Walmart has opened the doors to a temporary hiring center in Elk Grove.

Job-seekers can visit the newest center at 9561 Laguna Springs Dr., Suite 110, to apply for a position at the soon-to-open store at Bruceville Road and Whitelock Parkway.

The hiring center is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Sacramento Bee reports that Walmart will hire 265 employees for the store, which will open in March.

A post from Walmart on CareerBuilder says available jobs include those working in grocery, front end, various sales departments, maintenance, overnight and receiving.

Applicants may also apply online at www.walmart.com/apply by noting Store No. 5848, according to the post.

I'm sure you don't even have to worry about a low wage job, that would probably jepordize your government assistance you receive every month. Thank goodness some of us work in these low wage jobs living the American Dream, someone has to pay taxes. I'm not going to blame Republicans for my job choice, I'm just happy to have one!

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.
