Why is Apple Ignoring Elk Grove?

The Sacramento Business Journal details company's expansions in Silicon Valley and Austin, TX, but says there's little activity here.

An article in the Sacramento Business Journal Friday details the expansion that's occuring throughout the Apple empire—with the exception of Elk Grove.

Apple is building new campuses in Cupertino and Austin, TX, and gobbling up office rental space, the Business Journal reports. "But Elk Grove seems to be off the radar for the world's most valuable company," reporter Mark Anderson writes.

That's despite the fact that Apple still owns a four-building, 805,000-square-foot distribution and call center here, with another 20 acres of buildable land in reserve.
