A 45-year-old Elk Grove man found unresponsive in a gym pool Sunday afternoon has died, said officials at the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
Jesse Lee Morton was discovered by a patron at on Bond Road. Paramedics summoned to the scene determined he was in cardiac arrest and gave him CPR and a defibrillator.
Morton was taken to Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, where he was pronounced dead at 4:41 p.m., according to Assistant Coroner Kim Burson.
The body is scheduled for examination today, said Burson. A cause of death will be pronounced after the exam.
