Meet the Bloggers

Launched just two months ago, Elk Grove Patch's Local Voices section is already attracting a diverse group of Elk Grove residents eager to blog about everything from fitness to politics. And we're always looking for new contibutors. We thought we'd tell you a little more about our fabulous bloggers—and how you can join them.

Blogging on Patch is fun, it's easy, and it allows you to share your views with a wider circle of people. There are no restrictions on what you blog about or how often you post—though we will have a conversation with you to make sure your blog is a good fit for the site, and edit posts minimally for punctuation and grammar. And now, without further ado, the roster of talent:

The Teachers. (elementary school) and (middle school) blog about the challenges and joys of educating the next generation, with updates on education policy and dispatches from the classroom.

The Girl About Town. blogs about being single in Elk Grove and her quest to lose weight and stay fit.

The Renaissance Blogger. 's posts touch on everything from religion to soccer, with one common thread: they're always engaging.

The Marketer and Asian American Issues Expert. , executive director of Go Jade Solutions, blogs about matters affecting the Asian community, plus whatever else strikes her fancy.

El Blog Bilingüe. , a former journalist with Univision and current media consultant to the state legislature, will be blogging for us in English and Spanish.

The Fitness Guru. trains moms and other women to get moving and have fun at the same time, and blogs about it for us.

The Muckraker. 's always digging up interesting tidbits on local politics and crime for his own blog, Elk Grove News, and sometimes shares his insights with us.
