A teen's guide to must-see summer movies

Summer is on the horizon, along with lots of new movies

With the school year coming to a close and the weather growing warmer, summer is rapidly approaching. Summer has many great qualities, but among my favorite is the wide selection of summer blockbusters. Last summer, we were treated to movies like Pirates of the Carribean 4, Captain America, and the final installment in the Harry Potter series. This summer is proving to be promising, with lots of thrilling movies on the horizon. Here's a peek at some of them:

1. Snow White and the Huntsman: Somewhat similar to this spring's Mirror Mirror, this film puts a dark twist on the popular fairytale. This should attract some Twilight fans too, since it stars actress Kristen Stewart

2. The Amazing Spider-Man: Yep, this hero is back once again in an all new installment. Starring actor Andrew Garfield, the film follows Spider-Man as he sets out to find out what really happened to his parents.

3. Katy Perry: Part of Me: This documentary follows pop-star Katy Perry as she performs songs from her album Teenage Dream and talks about her personal life and beginnings as a musician.

4. Step Up Revolution: Also known as Step Up 4 this 3D dance flick is about a young woman who goes to Miami in hopes of becoming a professional dancer and winds up performing in flash mobs, leading protests, and falling in love.

Summer's looking pretty good so far.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
