ACEC California Names Conway 'Legislator Of The Year'

Private Sector Engineers Proud To Partner with Republican Leader

SACRAMENTO – The American Council of Engineering Companies of California (ACEC California) has named Assemblywoman Connie Conway as their “2013 Legislator of the Year.”

ACEC California is a statewide association representing more than 1,000 private consulting engineering and land-surveying firms that average 20 employees each.  ACEC California is dedicated to enhancing the consulting engineering and land surveying professions, protecting the general public and promoting the use of the private sector in the growth and development of our state.

“ACEC California is impressed with Assemblywoman Conway’s strong understanding of the many issues facing engineering and surveying businesses in California today,” said ACEC California president Bill Wagner. “We really appreciate her willingness to publicly articulate the importance of improving California’s business climate and infrastructure delivery.”

During her tenure in the legislature, Assemblywoman Conway has been a strong supporter of legislation to improve California’s business climate and discourage frivolous legal roadblocks to needed infrastructure projects.

ACEC California will present Assemblywoman Conway with an award at a luncheon to be held during the association’s Legislative Visit Day on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in Sacramento.
