Review: Hit and Run is a Cinematic Crime

Bad acting, clunky car chase scenes, saucy language and perverted violence are all things to describe this week's review

Dax Shepard plays a reformed bank robber living with his girlfriend and real-life fiance Kristen Bell. When they go on a trip to LA for a job interview the fun begins in Hit and Run.

The two are being followed by Tom Arnold, an official overseeing Shepard's Witness Protection Progam and they are also being stalked by Bradley Cooper, who plays a scumbag lowlife in desperate need of some confiscated property.

This car chase movie is is not for the easily offended. In fact just about everyone, on some level, should be offended. This brand of comedy is not even slapstick–it's just vicious in nature.

If you are a huge fan of muscle cars you may find this film amusing, but it is still questionable with the price of admission. The flick-o-meter gives Hit and Run a two out of five. The chase scenes are amateur at best, acting is below par and the comedy, well, it's pretty rancid. That's just how I see it.

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
