Review: 'The Dark Knight Rises' is a Masterpiece (No Spoilers)

Halfway through 2012 we have our first real contender for the movie of the year in the third and final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.

The Dark Knight Rises is playing at , and has many showtimes just after midnight Thursday night. Will you be seeing the movie? Tell us in the comments section.

REVIEW: Christian Bale plays Bruce Wayne again, his fortune is dwindling, his body is battered, and his alter ego continues to elude police in "The Dark Knight Rises."

This is a tough movie to review because I don't want to spoil anything so I will try keep my review spoil-free.

Basically Batman is forced out of retirement after a new bad guy emerges from the sewer, a thug by the name of Bane (played by Tom Hardy). When he shows up Gotham is over run by anarchy.

The supporting actors are fantastic in this film. Commissioner Gordon is again played by Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard plays a philanthropist, Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a cop, and Anne Hathaway digs her claws in the role of Cat Woman.

You will laugh, you will cry, and there is a good chance you may even clap at this end of this film, which is a whopping 2 hours and 45 minutes (though it doesn't feel like it). Hats off to Director Christopher Nolan who has put together perhaps the best comic book movie ever. The flick-o-meter gives "The Dark Knight Rises" a five out of five.

Sorry I couldn't give you more details on this film but I really don't want to spoil it for you. Go see it, you'll know why. This is a great end to a trilogy involving a character that will continue to live forever in popular culture long after you and I are gone.

Hey, let me know what you think. Go to my fan page on Facebook, its called TheBrettside, click like.

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
