An 11-year-old boy was arrested Monday morning for hitting his mother several times with an extension cord, according to Elk Grove Police.
The boy is his 51-year-old mother's care-giver, and a crime log entry says that she has "a pre-existing medical condition."
The incident occured about 11:15 a.m. Monday, and police determined that the mother "had been physically assaulted by [her son] on several different occasions," according to the crime log.
The boy was arrested and taken to juvenile hall, while the mother was transported to a local hospital.
