UPDATED: Apple Employees Cleared to Return to Work After Bomb Threat

An unidentified person called in the threat to the Apple facility on Laguna Blvd about 8:00 a.m. Monday morning.

Employees at the Apple distribution center on Laguna Blvd were cleared to return to work Monday afternoon after the facility was shut down for the morning while authorities investigated a bomb threat.

No explosive material was found inside the complex, said Elk Grove Police Department spokesperson Officer Chris Trim.

An unidentified caller contacted Apple management at about 8:00 a.m. to report that there were explosives somewhere on the massive campus, which contains several warehouses of over 100,000 square feet. Apple security staff called the police and evacuated employees from the facility.
