Big Rig Accident Northbound on Highway 99 Stalls Traffic
At least one person has reportedly been taken to an area hospital, according to Cosumnes Fire Department officials.
The burning remains of a big rig are likely to keep traffic backed up for awhile along Northbound 99 near Twin Cities Road in Galt as crews work to remove the wreckage.
California Highway Patrol's website indicates the Twin Cities Road overpass has been closed. It remains unclear when it will reopen.
CHP reports the truck hit several other cars.
