Elk Grove Florist Robbed at Gunpoint

The suspect is still at large.

Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed an Elk Grove florist at gunpoint.

The crime happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday at Nina's Flowers and Gifts, 8517 Elk Grove Blvd.

Police say a man entered the store and aimed a handgun at the store's owner. The shop keeper handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect ran from the scene, according to an Elk Grove Police Department crime log.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said.

Police described the suspect as "a Caucasian male adult, 20-25 years of age, 5-foot-7, 150 pounds, with dark hair. The suspect was wearing dark sunglasses, a black hooded jacket and blue jeans."

Anyone with information on the crime can call the department at (916) 627-3333 or report a tip online.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.
