An Elk Grove man was stabbed near Candlestick Park this afternoon after an argument with two suspects, San Francisco police said today.
The victim, a 27-year-old man, was standing on Harney Way approximately 500 yards west of Jamestown Road around 1:30 p.m. with a group of five friends when the two suspects approached, according to Sgt. Michael Andraychak.
The suspects initiated a verbal altercation, then one of them stabbed the victim in the torso, causing life threatening injuries, Andraychak said.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The suspects were arrested a few minutes later at Blanken Avenue and Executive Park Boulevard, but their identities have not yet been released. Andraychak described them as a 22-year-old male from Daly City and a 30-year-old male from San Francisco.
News10 reported that the victim is expected to survive.
