July 27-29: Pedestrian Robbed at Gunpoint; Suspected Car Burglars Arrested

Suspect: ZIDRO, DAVID (WMA, 49, ARRESTED) 

S-1 (Modesto resident) was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. Narcotics were observed next to S-1 who was the only person in the rear of the vehicle. Additional narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia were recovered from the rear of the vehicle. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, S-1 approached V-1 with a knife and threatened him. Officers responded to the location and discovered that S-1 was still armed with the knife. S-1 was arrested without incident then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed that S-1 had an active misdemeanor warrant out for her arrest. S-1 was arrested then issued a misdemeanor citation with a new court date and released.

Suspect: JUVENILE (WFJ, 11, ARRESTED) 

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 (mother) were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, S-1 struck V-1 on the arm with a stick. As a result of S-1’s actions, the stick broke and a piece became impaled in V-1’s wrist. V-1 suffered visible injuries and was transported to a local area hospital. S-1 was taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall.

EGPD responded to a vehicle burglary in progress near Ross (9100 block of E. Stockton Blvd). Two white male adults were observed breaking into a vehicle. As officers were responding, the suspects were observed driving away in a maroon Toyota. As officers arrived, they located the vehicle as it was approaching Bond Rd. When officers attempted to conduct an enforcement stop, the driver of the vehicle did not yield and led officers on a pursuit. The pursuit terminated at Elk Grove Florin Rd. & W. Camden Way when the driver failed to negotiate a turn and drove onto the sidewalk. The male driver and male passenger fled (S-1) on foot. A female backseat passenger (S-2) was taken into custody at the vehicle. S-1 was taken into custody a short distance away in a backyard. Officers setup a perimeter but were unable to locate the driver. A magazine from a handgun was recovered outside the driver’s side door. The Toyota was found to be a reported stolen vehicle out of Stockton. Officers determined the license plate on the stolen car had just been taken from a vehicle parked nearby. Narcotics, narcotic paraphernalia and ammunition were recovered inside the vehicle. S-1 and S-2 (Stockton residents) were arrested then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed that S-1 had two active warrants out for his arrest. A search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of an unregistered handgun, a loaded magazine, narcotics and a digital scale. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, S-1 pushed V-1 into a bathroom then pushed V-1 into the shower. S-1 restrained V-1 from leaving the bathroom and pushed V-1 in the face and body several times. V-1 suffered a visible injury. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order.

V-1 was walking down the street when he was approached by three individuals in a small white four door Toyota. One of the passengers in the vehicle (S-1) exited and started talking with V-1. After a brief conversation, V-1 started walking away. S-1 approached V-1 from behind and hit him in the back of the head. As V-1 turned around to defend himself against S-1, the two other occupants of the Toyota exited the vehicle and started hitting V-1. V-1 was pulled down to the ground by one of the suspects. While on the ground, S-2 pulled out a gun and demanded V-1’s property. The three suspects then ran back to the Toyota and drove away towards I-5. The three suspects were described a white male adults. S-2 was described as being in his 30’s, 5”10’ 240 lbs wearing a 49ers jersey. A description of the other suspects was not available.
