July 5: Four teens arrested in suspected burglaries

NIGHT WATCH

Time:  0005 hours

Suspect: JUVENILE (AMJ, 17, ARRESTED) 

Officers responded to the above location regarding juveniles who were possibly casing vehicles. S-1 (Elk Grove resident) matched the description provided and was contacted.  A search of S-1 led to the discovery of a flask containing an alcoholic beverage. S-1 was also in violation of curfew.  S-1 was issued a misdemeanor citation then released to his guardian.

EVENING WATCH  

Time:  1756 hours

Charges: WARRANT 

Location: 9200 block of Trout Way.

Suspect: RILEY, DEBBIE (HFA, 38, ARRESTED) 

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested for an active warrant then transported to the main jail.  

 

Time:  1920 hours

Charges: PC 459, 182(A)(1), 466

Location: 3200 block of Grimshaw Way.

Suspect #1: JUVENILE (WMJ, 16, ARRESTED) 

Suspect #2: JUVENILE (OMJ, 17, ARRESTED) 

Suspect #3: JUVENILE (BMJ, 15, ARRESTED) 

Suspect #4: JUVENILE (WMJ, 15, ARRESTED) 

Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 3200 block of Grimshaw Way. A witness observed several male juveniles kicking a side garage door in an attempt to gain entry. The suspects fled after being scared off by neighbors. Responding officers located and detained four male juveniles in an alley directly east of the residence.  A search of S-1 and S-2’s (Elk Grove residents) backpacks led to the discovery of burglary tools.  During the investigation, officers discovered that another residence located in the 5500 block of Elk Hollow Court had also been burglarized.  A search of S-2 and S-3 (Sacramento resident) led to the discovery of property stolen from the Elk Hollow Court residence.  A search of S-4’s (Elk Grove resident) bedroom led to the discovery of property stolen from the Elk Hollow Court residence.  All four suspects were taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall.  The stolen property was returned to the property owner.
