Laguna West Lake Drowning Victim Identified

Angadveer Singh, 22, drowned in a residential lake and died at a local hospital early Monday.

Authorities have identified the man who drowned in a late-night accident at a residential lake in Elk Grove this weekend as Angadveer Singh, 22.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office said the man, who officials first reported as a 26-year-old, died around 2:30 a.m. Monday at a local hospital after being found in the lake south of Laguna Boulevard and east of Harbor Point Drive.

After a search with two rescue boats, Singh was found submerged under 10 feet of water, and Cosumnes Fire officials said alcohol was a factor in his death.

The coroner's office ruled Singh's death an accident.
