Marijuana Plants Found In Laguna House

Elk Grove police arrest brothers Joe and Wilson Luu

Elk Grove police detectives arrested two people earlier today after allegedly finding 200 marijuana plants and processed marijuana in their Laguna house in the 9000 block of Old Creek Drive.

Joe Luu, 30, and his brother, Wilson Luu, 21, are each being charged with possessing and cultivating marijuana, according to the county jail log.

"Narcotics detectives developed information that marijuana may have been growing inside the residence," Elk Grove police spokesman Christopher Trim said.

Over the past years, authorities have found several marijuana grow houses in Elk Grove, according to a report by the Elk Grove Citizen.

Trim said the amount of marijuana found in the suspects' residence is not a large amount compared with others they've found.

The brothers were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail this afternoon. Joe Luu is being held on a $25,000 bail and Wilson Luu on a $10,000, according to the jail log.

They are scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Sacramento County Main Jail, Department 63.
