A 79-year-old man who went missing from Elk Grove Wednesday has been found and is home safe, police say.
Kenneth Mitchell, who was considered at-risk because he has dementia and requires blood-pressure medication, was found driving on Highway 65 Thursday night, Elk Grove Police Department spokesman Officer Chris Trim said.
The CHP located the missing man, Trim said.
"Mr. Mitchell has been reunited with family and returned home," Trim wrote in an email.
