New Red Light Cameras Go Live at Midnight

The red light cameras on Elk Grove Florin and Bond roads will begin issuing citations at midnight.

The 30-day grace period is over. The red-light cameras at the intersection on Elk Grove Florin and Bond roads will go live tonight.

Anyone photographed committing a red light violation after midnight will be issued a citation, and no more warning will be given.

The Elk Grove Police Department said they chose this location because it has a high number of accidents and drivers not following the traffic light.

There are four other red-light cameras located in Elk Grove. The intersections on Elk Grove Boulevard and Bruceville Road, Laguna and Franklin boulevards, Laguna Boulevard and Bruceville Road and on Laguna Boulevard and Laguna Springs Drive.
