CHP Officer Accused of Inappropriately Touching Disabled 22-Year-Old in Mall Bathroom
CHP Officer Jeffery Closson, 47, is accused of inappropriately touching a 22-year-old man last month in an Arden Fair Mall bathroom.
Authorities say a CHP officer inappropriately touched a disabled 22-year-old man while in a restroom at Arden Fair Mall.
The CHP officer, 47-year-old Jeffery Closson, was off-duty when the alleged incident occurred on June 20.
The 22-year-old man reported the incident and the Sacramento Police Department used mall security footage to investigate, according to a press release. Police identified Closson as a suspect, and the CHP opened an internal investigation, the press release states.
A warrant was issued for Closson's arrest Friday, and Sacramento Police arrested him on misdemeanor charges of sexual battery and disorderly conduct: loitering at a public toilet.
