A man was killed in southern Elk Grove Tuesday afternoon when his car drifted into oncoming traffic and hit a minivan head-on, according to Elk Grove Police.
The driver was traveling south on Bradshaw Road just before noon when his Kia Rio hit a minivan headed northbound, police spokesman Officer Chris Trim said.
The male driver and female passenger of the minivan have been transported to the hospital with "major" injuries, but are expected to survive, Trim said.
Bradshaw Road will be closed from Elk Grove Boulevard to Grant Line Road for "the next several hours," Trim said.
