One Killed, Two Injured in Head-on Crash on Bradshaw

Authorities are investigating the accident, which happened just before noon Tuesday.

A man was killed in southern Elk Grove Tuesday afternoon when his car drifted into oncoming traffic and hit a minivan head-on, according to Elk Grove Police.

The driver was traveling south on Bradshaw Road just before noon when his Kia Rio hit a minivan headed northbound, police spokesman Officer Chris Trim said.

The male driver and female passenger of the minivan have been transported to the hospital with "major" injuries, but are expected to survive, Trim said.

Bradshaw Road will be closed from Elk Grove Boulevard to Grant Line Road for "the next several hours," Trim said.

I heard this accident from my bedroom because my backyard shares a concrete wall with Bradshaw very close to this scene. The noise it made was absolutely horrific.. The picture posted omitted the entire rear and top of white car that had a casualty because the top, and back, half of the car was gone.

That's awful, Rich. How safe do you think that stretch of road is? Do you hear a lot of accidents or activity there?
