Police Ask for Help Finding At-Risk 79-Year-Old

Kenneth Mitchell has been missing since Wednesday afternoon.

Elk Grove Police are appealing for the public's help in locating a missing 79-year-old who has dementia and requires blood-pressure medication.

Kenneth Mitchell went missing from his Elk Grove home Wednesday some time between 8:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., police said.

ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating an at risk missing person, 79-year-old Kenneth Mitchell (photo attached), who suffers from dementia and takes medication to control his high blood pressure.

Kenneth Mitchell was last seen this morning around 8:45 a.m. when his wife left their Elk Grove residence to go to work.  When she returned at 3:15 p.m., her husband and their vehicle, a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII 2-door white CA license number 3VCH239, were missing.  Mitchell is described as an African-American male adult, 5’9”, 150 lbs., with brown hair, brown eyes and has a lump on his left cheek.  At this time, a description of the clothing that Mitchell was wearing is not available.

Mitchell left his residence under similar circumstances last week and was located in Willets, CA.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kenneth Mitchell is asked to contact the Elk Grove Police Department Dispatch Center at (916) 691-5246.
