Update: At-Risk Senior Found

Robert Grappi has been found safe, police say.

Update, 8:10 a.m. Monday:

Robert Grappi, missing from Elk Grove since Monday, has been found in Grass Valley.

The Elk Grove Police Department said Grappi was found after a vehicle stop by the Grass Valley Police Department, and will be taken to a hospital in that area for evaluation.

Original story:

An 82-year-old at-risk man has gone missing and Elk Grove police Tuesday asked for the public’s help in finding him.

Robert Grappi argued with his wife about 3:30 p.m. Monday in Elk Grove and left for his son’s home in Nevada County, police said.

Grappi, who suffers from medical conditions and possibly dementia and requires regular medications, has not been seen since, according to Elk Grove police Officer Christopher Trim.

However, on Tuesday morning, Grappi’s credit card was used for purchases at two gas stations in Grass Valley, the officer said.

Grappi is white, about 5 feet 9 and 142 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes; when last seen, he wore a black jacket over a white T-shirt and blue sweat pants, police said.

As a rule, Grappi wears a U.S. flag or other patriotic icons on his shirt.

He should be driving a 1998 Toyota RAV4, California license ATSAOK2.

Anyone with information was asked to call Elk Grove Police Department Dispatch 916-691-5246.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.
