Police Looking for Man Who Held Up Walgreens Friday

Robber hit clerk on the head with gun, stole lighters.

An armed robber made off with cash and cigarette lighters from a on Laguna Blvd Friday, and Elk Grove police are asking for help with locating him.

The unidentified man entered the store around 1:45 a.m., and ordered a worker to open the cash registers, clocking him in the head with a handgun, police say. He then took the cash and lighters and ran away down Laguna.

The employee was not hurt.

Police describe the man as African-American, about six feet tall, light-skinned and slim. He was wearing a gray baseball cap, black T-shirt, jeans and black sneakers at the time of the robbery, along with a gray face mask.
