UPDATE: Missing Edward Harris Middle School Student Located

Orzelle Dupard, 13, left his house for school around 8:15 a.m. but never arrived there, police say.

Elk Grove police have located a 13-year-old boy who was reported missing after failing to arrive at Monday morning.

Orzelle Dupard has been returned home to his parents, police said Monday afternoon.

Dupard left his house in the 8400 block of Geneva Pointe Drive on foot around 8:15 a.m., police said.

"The young boy was running late for school and when he left his mom called the school to make sure he got there OK," police spokesperson Christopher Trim said.

He hadn't. After another hour passed and school staff said Dupard still hadn't arrived, his mother became concerned and contacted the just before 11:00 a.m., Trim said.
