Elk Grove Woman Allegedly Uses Fake Prescription in Davis
Elk Grove woman arrested for trying to get pain killers with a forged prescription, while Arizona man is arrested on drugs and weapons charges in Davis.
The Davis Police made two separate drug-related arrests Wednesday afternoon that were nearly as many minutes and miles apart.
The first came when a 41-year-old man from Mesa, Ariz., was arrested on suspicion of drugs and weapons possession. An officer on patrol spotted "a suspicious vehicle" on the 1900 block of F Street and contacted the driver, Eduardo Collette, who was found to be in possession of an illegal weapon – a billy club – the Davis Police Department reported in a news release. The drugs – methamphetamine – were discovered "upon further investigation."
Collette was arrested and taken to the Monroe Detention Center.
